MEET DANE

Dane completed his Bachelor of Social Work at the University of Regina in 2014. He is currently a registered member of the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (#3669) and adheres to the Canadian Association of Social Work Code of Ethics.

Since completing his degree, Dane has been worked in the field of mental health. He has held positions within the Saskatchewan Health Authority as an Addictions Counselor, Community Mental Health Worker, and worked as the Senior Social Worker in a program specializing in counselling and case management of clients experiencing concurrent disorders (both mental health and addictions issues).
Dane has experience working with alcohol, substance, and gambling addictions. Dane also has experience working with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, personality disorders, cognitive impairments, born and/or acquired brain injuries, and psychosis.
Dane has a strong understanding of the connection between mental health issues and addiction, and he believes in the use of evidence-based interventions to address any mental health and/or addictions concerns that clients may experience. However, Dane is not limited to treating addictions and has expertise in treating the aforementioned concerns such as anxiety, depression, crisis, and personality disorder. Dane believes in building therapeutic relationships with individuals and working with clients to develop and implement their personal treatment goals and utilizes many different therapeutic modalities including narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and a harm-reduction approach.

Dane enjoys spending time in nature gardening, camping, hiking, and snowboarding. He loves to travel throughout Canada and abroad. He is a strong supporter of local music and loves to attend live music shows whenever he can!
